Happy New Year everyone!  One of the first photographs of 2018- not quite ducks all in a row, but swans…and a goose on the bank (one of several who were getting a little upset because of Sparky being sat next to me when this was taken!)

This photograph was taken on New Years Day in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK – I had come here as it is roughly the halfway point to the friend of our daughters where she had spent New Years Eve – I decided to arrive early to take Sparky for a walk along the canal here as we had not visited before and ended up here on the banks of the River Avon.  Chanced upon some late afternoon sunshine and the swans were most obliging while searching for more food from passers-by (out of luck with me, I’m afraid!)
