Merry Christmas...with the view of our cake - only got round to tasting it today after stuffing ourselves yesterday!

It's a snowy scene (not completely unlike a couple of weeks ago) - the cabin is a bought cake decoration, but the cake, icing and trees are hand-made - the trees are an adaptation of ones featured in the Sainsbury's Food Magazine - Mint matchmakers as trunks and coloured white Belgian chocolate piped to form the body of the tree - the ones in the article seemed rather 2D...so I made these a bit more 3D by building up layers of chocolate to bulk out the body -  edible 'baubles' were added to make them more festive - they look good and taste great too!
