Gasometer at Dawn – another photograph taken just before dawn of the gasometer between the River Kennet and River Thames in Reading, Berkshire.  Taken from a footbridge that crosses the River Kennet.

Because there was so little light, the shutter speed is rather slow – thankfully the OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) in the lens works really well, giving a reasonably sharp result – I have sharpened the image in Lightroom too.

I love the colour of the structure being lit by the early morning light!  Thankfully, at this time of year, it isn’t so early – this was taken around 07:05
