National Gallery

National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London

This is the National Gallery taken from Trafalgar Square in London – taken last Thursday as I was staying in London for the eclipse (see previous post as to how that didn’t work out!)

No tripod was used here, simply placed the camera on the wall surrounding the pool for the fountains – used a folded glove to raise the lens (less than ideal, but I was improvising!) and took this 10 second shot – with the long exposure, the fountains have gone silky smooth and the people have vanished 😉 – additionally, this shot was taken at f/18 to get the star burst effect on the point light sources.

Post processed a little to boost colours and lift shadows…cropped and sharpened.
