This is a photograph that I took this lunchtime – it was taken from Wood Wharf, Isle of Dogs, London looking towards the offices in Canary Wharf.
I have been wanting to take a shot like this for some time – obviously to be able to do this, you need water and over the last couple of days, we’ve had quite a bit! From the office window, I noticed that there were some large puddles remaining from the rain first thing this morning, so went over during lunchtime – and this is the result.
The photograph shows some of the parasols at Wood Wharf, the Citibank building and 20 Canada Square in the centre of the shot and the new building (now occupied) on Churchill Place to the left.
Post processing
Standard initial processing in Lightroom 5.6 to improve levels, graduated filter to darken sky a little and darkened the foreground slightly; cropped and flipped 180˚, sharpened (slightly) and added a vignette.
