The Tour de France…in London.

Lucky to have the Tour de France pass very close to the office on Stage 3 from Cambridge to London – the weather had been great all morning, but it rained several times during the afternoon…not least while we were waiting and even more while returning to the office – guess who didn’t have a coat or umbrella – it didn’t dampen our spirits though!

This is the peleton passing by chasing to catch two riders maybe 30s ahead.

All the pictures I took were handheld – the ISO up to 400 to keep the shutter speed up while using my Sigma 70-300mm telephoto – because of the rain, it was darker by the time the riders arrived, so shutter speeds a bit low, but still got some worthy shots!

Simple post processing – the usual ‘start’ preset – graduated filter, sharpening and crop to 1920×1080 ratio – some dodging of the road in the foreground.
