This photograph was taken from the jetty at Morden Wharf on the Thames Path between North Greenwich and Cutty Sark – this was a lunchtime walk which turned out to take a little longer than I had planned…there were so many interesting things to stop and take pictures of – I could have taken all afternoon…and could have quite happily have stopped at either the Cutty Sark pub (quite some way from the Cutty Sark) or the Trafalgar pub and had a large cold beer – it was a hot day! But it was also a work day…so, another time!
A beach, but strewn with London bricks with worn, rounded edges and here with a ‘footpath closed’ sign. Not quite sure where the sign came from – perhaps it was washed downstream from the flooding that occurred earlier this year…or pinched from some roadworks and discarded in the river…who knows?
Not too much post processing done where -a graduated filter to darken the stones, additional adjustments to darken the foreground, added clarity and sharpened. I cropped the shot to 16×10 and a added a slight vignette.
