North Greenwich View

Thames View

This photograph was taken one lunch time a week or so back, looking across the Thames from the Isle of Dogs towards the Millenium Dome/O2 Arena at North Greenwich – it’s a short way from the office at Canary Wharf – I have been running down the Thames Path here for a few weeks and felt it was time to capture the scene I see each day – it is a long exposure shot using a fixed B+W ND6 filter and a cheap variable ND filter – the day was still quite bright, so was only able to get the shutter speed down to 10s, but this still shows the movement in the clouds and the Thames Clipper going past (white streak above the two stationary boats).

I want to take longer exposure photographs than this – I think another fixed ND filter will work better than the (cheap) variable one I have

Post processing in Lightroom 5 and then converted to black and white in Silver Efex Pro.
