Spring has sprung!

Daffodill

This photograph was taken in the Wychwood Wild Garden in Shipton-under-Wychwood – a fantastic day – sunny, clear blue sky, temperatures above 20˚C on Sunday 16th March 2014.

We had just been to The Lamb Inn in Shipton for lunch (recommended!) – we ate a birthday lunch for my wife outside (pretty good for March in the UK!) and then went for a short walk through the Wychwood Wild Garden on the way back home – I think it will be even better when more of the trees have got leaves, but there is plenty of evidence of early spring growth – as these daffodils show!

Post processing in Lightroom 5 – adjusting the exposure and levels – added a radial filter around the main flower and used this to desaturate the background a little.
